It's a collection of mostly humorous short stories drawing on ideas that I've had over the years. For example, I've been intrigued for a long, long time by King John of England, the best bad king in history, wicked and wicked sense of humour. I thought of several ways of writing about him before realising that a monologue as he lay dying would be interesting.
