Derek Cunningham Sadly the fight is still ongoing. Archaeologists are not experts in ancient writing. So archaeology journals tell me to publish the results in journals that deal with writing. Journals that deal with writing state this is clearly archaeology and anthropology, so I should go there. General science journals are unsure if it is astronomy, or archaeology, or a book on ancient writing. So they don't know what to say, and then we I add a statistical analysis to the mix they say perhaps you should consider sending the paper to a statistical journal....It's sort of sad, but it's also understandable.... Anyway, concerning the shape of the X that I solved over a decade ago. I published my theory concerning the structure of the X-symbol in the Map that Talked. The X is mentioned in the works of Plato and it is a key part in stellar navigation. The grid box images are far more common worldwide and these marks made their way into both ancient Egyptian and Chinese scripts, where it is now used to represent a region, a farming area, or home. In some of the older communities that I visited in southern China I found out that it was used to represent a boundary that could not be crossed, In other words, it was dividing the world into square blocks. I am now writing up a revision to the statistical study that looks at the worse possible case. The new data still shows that even if you assume the lines had massive errors bars, the lines are still definitely aligned with intent. Being honest, I do not know why archaeologists have never measured the angles present in these patterns. It's just so basic.

Derek Cunningham Hi Margaret, Thanks for dropping in. As you know, we are looking to discuss the earliest known texts.

This includes discussions on apparent errors in the earliest translations of the Mesopotamian Tablets, the potential that Irish Ogham might be text linked to the Ma Mi Mu Me Mo type letter-structure seen in the Japanese Language, and the geometric symbols of the Stone Age.

One book I could recommend was published before the discovery that Stone Age people could write. The book is, The Lost Civilizations of the Stone Age, by Richard Rudgley.

It has a fantastic introduction into how the first to explore the Lascaux Caves thought the geometric symbols looked like text, but they could not think of a way to decode the symbols. He also looks at unusual technological advances, which appeared worldwide.

It was one of the most interesting books I read, during the time I worked on The Babel Texts.

Derek Cunningham My initial inspiration came to me by accident.

I was not thinking about the Original World Language, or the Stone Age.

I simple seen some very archaic geometric patterns, and I knew that archaeologists were not going to research them, because they simply thought they were random doodles.

I wanted to know if there was any way to study them scientifically.....to test if they were random patterns, or perhaps deliberately designed.

What surprised me most is they were relatively easy to decode.

It only took me three weeks to determine they were linked to astronomical values.

Overall, I'm not that bothered that no-one seems to be interested in the discovery that these geometric symbols are the original world language.

I did this as to answer a simple question and I hope that I have written a book that will keep the reader entertained.

I am also thrilled that the ancient text does such a good job in explaining smaller, less studied mysteries.

For me the ability to explain why someone drew a geometrical symbol on a pendant is just as important as being able to describe the layout of the Great Pyramids.
Derek Cunningham Since completing the Babel Text I have started work on Scotland a New Beginning.

This is more personal than The Babel Text and The Map that Talked, as it looks at events my distant ancestors may have taken part in.
