Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Arianne Costner I was at a college sports game, and as I was watching the mascot do some crazy dance, I said to my husband, "I should write a book about a mascot. Like, a mascot that is something totally dorky and he doesn't want anyone to know about it." My husband suggested that there are potato mascots in Idaho, and that sealed the deal. My seventh grade students at the time were obsessed with potatoes and thought they were hilarious. And they really kind of are. :)
