Hi, Michelle, I was born without a sense of smell which they tell me is the sense of the memory. Yet, I wrote a memoir! So, my question is how much does the sense of smell impact you personally and as a writer/author? Do you reference odors, fragrances, etc in your writing/books? Are these references in conjunction w/ your characters' memories? thanks

I love to smell various flavors, seasons, etc. Some smells do trigger memories for me, and in my books with characters. Once I had a psychic tell me that a certain smell meant that my Guardian Angel was near...

Have you seen this amazing book about the descents of Christ? It's called '25Descents of Christ,' and it emanates a sense of peace and hope with every turn of the page. The book explores the intriguing encounters between Christ and individuals, each encounter resulting in something unique and captivating. What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Michelle Romano I am reading some really good books about life after death, near death experiences and signs loved ones who have passed on send. They are very good.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Michelle Romano I went through a really hard breakup awhile ago, and it ignited the start of my book, Finding Faith. However, as the book evolved, it became less about the breakup and more about Finding Faith in everything we do, including romance.

How do you get inspired to write?

Michelle Romano Feeling emotions, and seeing or reading something inspiring. That's when my best work comes out through my writing.

What are you currently working on?

Michelle Romano Just published Finding Faith, so for right now, I am not writing another book. Rather I am taking some time off.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Michelle Romano Try to set aside a time to write every week and keep at it. It can be such a long process, but the end product will be beautiful. Don't give up.

Michelle Romano Creating a storyline that captivates others. :)

Michelle Romano I usually can't write on a whim. I usually need to be inspired by an emotion or something inspirational that I witness or read about.
