I start my book with a solid outline. I wander away from time to time, but if I feel stuck, I just read through it again and reconnect with the next plot point. If I just sit down and start writing, even if it's something a simple as my character doing dishes, it always turns into something more.

I've always loved mythology and fairy tales, so I dove into Beauty is the Beast to explore what if. What if there is truth behind the stories. What if mythological creatures live among us, hiding in plain sight? What would they do for work? How would they deal with pretending to be something they're not? The book just took off from there!
