D.S. Kinahan I've got a box of books I've been collecting during my writing spree. Now that I'm on a hiatus of sorts, I'm planning on getting through them this summer. Unfortunately, there's no recent releases in the bunch, but I'm looking forward to reading them, anyway. Books like "Big Boned" by Meg Cabot, "The Psycho Ex Game" by Merrill Markoe and Andy Prieboy, "Poor Little Rich Girl" by C. David Heymann (a biography of Woolworth heir Barbara Hutton; I've already read this a number of times, and it never ceases to amaze me), and anything by Janet Evanovich!
D.S. Kinahan A few years ago, I joined Goodreads and set up my author profile page. It's only been recently that I learned I had to actually "claim" this page in order for it to be of any use. The end.
D.S. Kinahan I'm currently working on my fifth and, sadly, probably my last novel.

All of my books have featured the same main character, a woman by the name of Cathy. My first two books ("Love, Despair and Other Heartaches" and "Wandering Towards Normal") take place while she's in her late 30s/early 40s. My next two books ("My Zestful Years" and "The Last Two Thousand Miles") follow her life after retirement. Cathy's experiences can only last so long, I guess.
D.S. Kinahan It's amazing how many ideas I get or subplots are developed while I'm working out on the treadmill! I don't know why this works for me, but it just does.
Also, I always keep a notepad on me to jot things down, because you never know when an idea or phrase will come to you and open up an entire new path in your story.
