"The Brazilian" is my latest book. In my travels to Latin American countries I was repeatedly mistaken for Brazilian (I'm bi-racial). I have conflicted emotions about my racial identity and place in the world, so I decided to explore the concept of lost identity in that novel. I REALLY REALLY want everyone to read it. In a way, that book took me my entire life to write. It's intensely personal.

I'm always inspired to write. I have a very vivid imagination. The challenge is in finding the proper characters to animate my ideas.

I'm developing the plot for a conventional thriller novel. It involves an iconoclastic character who is privately/publicly railing against a world he doesn't approve of. Still in the conception phase.

Put one foot in front of the other. If you write a few pages every day, in no time you'll have a book! Also, try a quick journal entry every day for a while. It's a great way to get to know yourself.
Some people are literally writing a book with their lifestyle or everyday activities, don't ignore the fact that your life, and therefore your story is unique. Tell people.....they want to know!

Actually, I'm a mailman by profession.......very different from a writer, at least on paper (s'cuse the pun), but walking a route every day allows me time to think through a plot or story line.
I've loved writing since I was little. That little boy inside my grown up man is still doing most of the writing, just with some grown up grammatical help! Writing is like play to me!

I don't generally suffer from too much writer's block. If I am stuck in a moment of mental stasis then I kick start my creative flow by conjuring up an emotion. Nothing seems to get me writing like a past feeling, remembered anew. A good conversation with someone else or even myself can spark some great page worthy ideas, too.
