That is a hard question to answer. I don’t believe in writer’s block. Others swear by it, but I’ve never experienced it. However, I do believe in lack of motivation and I have experienced that. For me, that usually means I need a break. I take time to relax and/or get myself physically moving. I find that helps significantly.

My mom needs a double lung transplant. My three year old was having a hard time with understand why she couldn’t play, and what was wrong. I talked to Social Workers (for transplant) and a couple child psychologists and they recommended I look at a few books. They were all for older kids, and one caused a major meltdown for my son, so I decided to make my own for him. He loves it, and tells me what’s going on in the book now.
