Mariah Stone You can read them in any order :) I kind of wrote them in reverse order originally, but the books are standalones and are very loosely connected (only through the Norns), so you will have full experience either way. The only one you need to read in order is the spinoff series, Fated, which is about one of the kids of the time traveler heroine. I hope you enjoy them -- thank you so much for asking your question, and please let me know how you like them!!
Mariah Stone Ohh I'm so glad to hear you loved it! Yes, at some point I most certainly will, though I don't know when and which books <3 Do you have any special wishes, any particular books you'd love to see speical editions for?
Mariah Stone Great question, Marie! The inspiration for the Vikings came from love. (haha, can you tell I'm a romance writer? LOL)

I fell in love with my husband on the shore of a Norwegian fjord.
We were students back then, and just started dating. He organized a surprise trip to Norway. We didn't have a lot of money so we brought wine from Germany and bought Norwegian salmon in the supermarket. I remember sitting with him on a huge boulder on the fjord, just talking and so in love. The mountains were taller than the sky and the water so still the water plants didn't waver. It was breathtaking. Magical.
We had many wonderful dates since then, but if you ask me what was the most memorable date, I'd say this one.
Since I've always loved history, I started wondering who were the people back in time who lived there... And what it would be like to travel in time and well, find love.
That's how Called by a Viking series came to be :)
Mariah Stone next week, Anne! July 18th is the release but you can pre-order already now :) Can't wait for you to read it!
Mariah Stone Oh I see, what you mean, Anne! Are you on my mailing list? One Night with a Viking is available for free, but only for my newsletter subscribers, it's not available on Amazon or anywhere else. If you are not on my mailing list yet, this is how you can subscribe: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/gjugtg8nvm. As of The Marriage of Time, it will be released on April 25th. :)
Mariah Stone I don't know any writing groups on Goodreads, but there are probably facebook writing groups that you might join. Thank you so much for your kind words, Crystal! My website is mariahstone.com.
Mariah Stone Hi Crystal! Oh my gosh, I have such a high regard for poets, I think writing poetry is one of the most beautiful and yet hardest forms of writing. And congratulations on finishing several poems, not everyone can do that! I think you should definitely publish a book, if you have quietly considered it! If it's your dream, go for it. I have also quietly written for many years, without showing my writing to anyone, and only when a joined a local writing group, I got enough encouragement and support and belief in myself as a writer.
So that's what I would suggest, find a writing group (local or online), show your writing to other poets whose opinion you trust (don't show it just to anyone, it's really easy to get discouraged by people who have no idea about writing and especially about poetry!!), and take a class on writing if you can, there are many good ones. One of the writing schools I can recommend (and I know they have excellent poetry classes because I took one) is GrubStreet, they are in Boston but they have online classes.
Good luck, Crystal, I'm so excited to know you write poetry and I'd love to see your book published!
Mariah Stone I just sit down every day in front of my computer and ideas come while my fingers tap away. Also, I read a lot!
Mariah Stone The Jewel of Time - from Viking jewelry. Gosh, I LOVE Viking patterns, Viking art and Viking jewelry. I was thinking, hmmm, would it not be interesting if someone would abuse the opportunity to time travel and became a time traveling thief? Long story short, The Jewel of Time was born.
Mariah Stone Creating worlds, things and people that fire up imagination.
Mariah Stone I had it once, after quite an emotional and personal tragedy that happened in my life, and I allowed myself some time to heal.
Mariah Stone Write every single day. Set yourself a minimum daily goal (word count, pages, or time spent)!
Mariah Stone Last stages of editing of "The Jewel of Time", final revisions for the prequel of the series which I won't name because it's a surprise for my newsletter subscribers, and I am already planning "The marriage of time", the third book in the Called by a Viking Series.
