I step away from my manuscript for a week or two and do other activities then I come back to it and start again. This usually helps me out.

I was inspired to write after a teen department librarian at the main library in my hometown of Evansville gave me a assignment before i could check out any books in her department.
I had to write a paragraph of what I learned from the book she gave me to read called Go Ask Alice (I have a copy on my shelf now). It sparked something that was already there so I started writing short stories but lost them all to a house fire. I did start over but wrote different stories from the ones I had lost.

My ideas usually come from dreams I've had or by observer people in different situations. I draw off of that and create plots that I would be interested in reading and other readers may too. I think research everything to make it as authentic as I can.
