Beth Worsdell Hi Stefanie, of course. I have recently finished a new novel, Calling Clarissa, which should be released at the end of May. It's completely different from my other books.

Calling Clarissa is a very spicy and hilarious romantic comedy set in Winchester, England. I had so much fun writing it. Think Bridget Jones meets a reverse Fifty Shades Of Grey with lots of English humor.

This is the blurb.

Clarissa Darcy didn't think life could get any worse.

A single mum of two young boys, with an arsehole for an ex-husband who never helps. Thank god she has her two best friends, Becky and Hayley, and an open mind.

Stuck in a customer service job she hates, a pervert boss, and outrageous child care costs, Clarissa doesn't have two pennies to rub together until Hayley suggests a new way to earn a living, phone sex chat lines.

Shock turns to empowerment when Clarissa unexpectedly finds her niche. Not only does she earn good money in her new job, but she also finds her lost confidence, female sexual power, and a renewed lust for life.

What she also doesn't expect is to bump into a hot and sexy nerd who wants her to become his Dominatrix.

Who knew that a single mum could find happiness dominating powerful men, and so many men had freaky and funny fetishes?
Clarissa certainly didn't.

I can't wait to share it with everyone. I'm just waiting for my book covers so I can set up my pre-orders and share it.

Beth Worsdell Thank you for asking. My inspiration comes from many areas.

For the Earth’s Angels trilogy, the inspiration came from a vivid, weird dream that stuck in my mind for over two years. It wouldn’t leave my thoughts, so, I decided to write is down and that is how many novel writing journey began.

The inspiration for my new children’s fantasy series which is coming this October, came from a request from a publishing company. They asked me to write a short story about either ghosts, ghouls or spirits. As I love Christmas so much, I decided to write about a Christmas Spirit. As soon as I began to write, my character, Jinx, formed in my mind. I am now writing the last book in the series and will begin the illustrations soon.

I have a number of other projects coming up and most were inspired by, either something I saw or heard, while others are from my own life experience, or those around me.

The benefit of being a creative person is that we gain inspiration from anything and everything.
Beth Worsdell I have three favorite scenes to be honest.

In book one, Earth’s Angels, I love the scene when Mel finds out that she is pregnant with the first new human since Earth began to die. She is blown away by the fact her new baby will have wings and will be more angelic.

My second favorite scene is when Mel’s daughter, Holly, gets married to the angel, Nalik, in the underwater city, in book two The Marilians.

As for my third favorite scene, it would have to be all the alien races arriving on the Marilians planet to kick some Marilian butt in the finale.
Beth Worsdell Sorry for my late reply Stefanie, I was away. I am currently writing the final book in a fantasy series for children and I’m hoping to release them all in October, in time for Christmas. I want people to be able to purchase the whole set. I’m super excited and I can’t wait to start sharing snippets and some illustrations. As soon as I know the release date, I will be sure to let you know angel.
Beth Worsdell Thank you for your question Stefanie. For me, writing lets me release my creative side. I've always loved playing with words and when I had a car accident in 2007, my writing (poetry and songwriting) was a way of coping with the pain.

Since I began writing Earth's Angels, I seem to have released a new passion for story telling. It has opened the flood gates to so many ideas and it’s been a wild ride so far.

Writing in any forms is amazing therapy for coping with pain, depression, recovery and coping with life in general. It is very underrated.

Ps. There are many more books to come.
Beth Worsdell Hi Tirza, I'm so sorry for my delay in answering. Unfortunately, I couldn't get into my account for a while lol.

There were times when I wasn't sure what was going to happen next. When these moments occurred I walked away from my writing and took my mind off it for a little while. then a spark of inspiration would hit and I knew where my story was leading.

I always think of it, as having a creative rest. Sod's law, my inspiration would occur as I was trying to go to sleep lol.
Beth Worsdell I haven’t Stefanie. Which is why I was so surprised my Earth’s angels dream was so vivid. I’m normally a heavy sleeper. Lol
Beth Worsdell I can't wait to hear what you think Derek. My trilogy starts off as a post-apocalyptic story with alien contact, which then turns to an alien invasion, apocalyptic tale. Book three takes us on a journey, with our human survivors defending the universe, dealing with the Marilians once and for all.
Beth Worsdell I know exactly what you mean Warren. Before I became an author myself, I had no idea just how important reviews were for authors, especially new authors. I even went back and wrote reviews for books I’d read once I understood.
Beth Worsdell When Adrian woke up late on the Sunday morning, it felt like any other lazy day, with birds loudly chirping outside his open bedroom window. However, when he turned to kiss his beautiful wife, who was laying next to him, he suddenly felt differently, as his eyes took in the sight of her faceless body.
Beth Worsdell As a child I loved the books by C.S Lewis, so I think I would love to go to Narnia and explore. Obviously I’d like to take my family with me, as they would love the adventure too.
Beth Worsdell I plan on reading the latest new releases from Cassandra Clare, she’s one of my favorite authors. I’m about to take a trip to Washington and I’ll be reading Lineage by C. Vonzale Lewis on my travels. I cant wait to read it!
Beth Worsdell Thank you Olga, it is lovely to see you here also!

I’m one of those people who has always written, even from a very young age. I have also loved to read since I can remember too.

I began to write poetry as a young child, which developed with age. Family members would ask me to write poems for special occasions, such as anniversaries and weddings.

Then in 2007, my poetry turned into songwriting, which I still love to do.

I have always written about life, love and everything in between. My passion has always been for writing and although I am a very private person when it comes to my family, I think that every thing that happens influences my writing in some way.

Thank you for your fab question Olga!
Beth Worsdell A weird dream that wouldn't leave my thoughts.
Beth Worsdell My inspiration for Earth’s Angels was a very strange dream. I've actually been songwriting since 2007 and never intended to write a book. However, now, it feels like it was meant to be.
Beth Worsdell I’m currently writing book two in the Earth’s Angels trilogy and I can't wait to share it with everyone.
Beth Worsdell Write, write, write! You are never too young or too old to start writing. I write a lot easier when I just let it flow and not worry about editing until a later stage.
Beth Worsdell Creating something that connects with other people, making them smile, sometime giggle and hopefully feel good.
Beth Worsdell I take a break, sometimes a couple of hours, sometimes a couple of days or a week. Just taking my mind off my writing, generally helps me get back on track.
