I would travel into my own book, The Good Mage, it would be fun to meet myself.

There where a lot of other people and stories from which i grabbed ideas, there is a few ideas from "Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" and a little from Jim Butchers "Furies of Calderon".
But for the most part I just make it up as I go.

I just sat down and started writing, there wasn't a particular inspiration.
Once I had started however a few of my friends (Abbey for example) and my wife (Esther) and my mother (Rivka) really boosted my confidence along.

I am working on The Good Mage - consequences, which is the second book in the series, I have just finished writing it and first edit so, fingers crossed, it should be available in a few months.
I will shortly be starting the third book in the series, as well as that I have a children's book that may or may not be ready this year as well.

Well....write? it doesn't particularly matter what you are writing about either, even if you want one day to have a whole series of books but cant quite find the right story, just write something, the more you create the easier it becomes.

I enjoy either villainising or empowering my friends....and enemies by turning them into characters, and my friends aren't all heroes, the main villain in book two, which is soon to be released is a good friend of mine in real life.

Happily, I haven't had to yet, also I am a chronic workaholic AND I have half a dozen hobbies that I barely have time for.
If writers block does rear its ugly head, I will go for a week long gold hunting adventure then see where I stand.
