I don't have it. I just write. If I did have it, then I would write something else. It's pretty much like approaching anything: if the muse does not lead you, then go elsewhere.

I'm not really sure, since I completed this project for my own edification and out of respect for those who enlightened me. The writing didn't have much to do with it. In general, writing is a pain since it has to be targeted to the standards of the reader. In nonfiction those standards are too low for most creative research. Am I making sense?
