Sleep. Hahaha. What can I say? I love sleeping. When I have writer's block, I put away everything having to do with the story then sleep. Most times, the answer I need comes to me after a day or two.

The best thing about being a writer is making up my own world and characters. I wish to say that I can control my characters, but that doesn't always happen. Still being able to write about something that I can relate to, and other people too is fantastic.

My advice is to keep pushing. If you love it, write because it is what you love to do, not because you want to make a ton of money. Keep in mind that people will turn you away and say negative things, but none of that should keep you from writing.
Also, don't ever lose yourself in someone else's dream. Stay within your own and remember why you started writing in the first place.

I have been working on a novel for a few years now. For a while, I had to put it on hold to take care of my family and then plan a wedding. So right now, I am finishing up my debut novel. I'm super stoked about this one and the excitement at how close I am is out of this word.

I don't think I was much of a people person as I grew up. I was always outgoing and talkative as a child, according to my mom. I think I began to close out the world. Most of my thoughts went into dairies. From writing in journals to writing poetry as well. I do believe that many of my early experiences inspired me to write. It was the only thing I could do to comfort myself.

The idea came from thoughts alone. The things I thought about, the way I behaved. I would ask myself questions relating to my behavior. Nothing crazy, but maybe things I did that I disliked. I also wondered why I wrote on particular subjects.
I think I later decided to pull out old diaries to explore my past. Truthfully, I didn't like what I read. Because I never spoke to anyone regarding the events that took place in my life, I thought that the poetry I wrote could help me release the feelings I hold on to from years ago.
