Edward Lee Life. My life. And the world around me.
Edward Lee Write. It's that simple. Write as much as you can, as often as you can. Write and rewrite. And read. Read everything, not just the genre that you write it, but all styles of poetry, or genres of books; you never know where inspiration, an idea might come from.
Edward Lee I'm always working on something, be it a story or poems, or my novel. Even a screenplay sometimes. If I get blocked on something I can usually move onto some other writing. And if I'm completely blocked on all writing, I work on some music.
Edward Lee Inspiration comes from everywhere. Music, other poems, whatever I might be reading. I try to sit down everyday and get some writing doing, even if only a few paragraphs. If I'm not writing, or I'm blocked on something, I'll go off and work on some music.
Edward Lee Poems, of course. There's always poems. Also, at this moment, I'm working on a short story. And I'm about to begin the (hopefully) last draft of a novel I've been working on for the past few years.
