I observe a lot around me. I find that the best characters are ones created from the truth of people, even the parts they think go unnoticed. I also read a lot of books. I'm inspired by Stephen King even if we don't write the same genre, Sarah J Mass, Leigh Bardugo (who awakened my passion), Dean Koontz and so many other great authors.

It was the idea of the protagonist 'Nyx' that inspired the story. I wanted to create a unique character with real, though somewhat flawed, emotions. I tapped into personal experiences and observations from others. Once I did this diving into the journey she could undergo created my book.
