I love to be able to lose myself in my writing. To enter into the world of fiction whatever genre that maybe. During the pandemic and lockdown restrictions, it has given me a focus whereby I lose myself into other worlds.

My advice would be just to write. Write for pleasure not for a market and enjoy the experience. You never know whether what you write will appeal to the reader or not but in my opinion you should always write and see where it leads. Joining a local writer's group is also a very useful and encouraging way of motivating not only yourself but others.

I am currently working on The Cutting Edge. It is a fictional story of a young girl who is orphaned and we follow her through her life to adulthood and the amazing goal she sets herself. The question is will she achieve her goal or be dragged down by her circumstances

I love writing and reading fiction of all genres. It has been my passion since a teenager and now that I am retired I am able to give it my true focus. I write most days from sheer pleasure. I love building characters and watching how their lives unfold over the pages.

My latest book is My Rachel. It's a book written about raising my daughter with profound cerebral palsy. The idea of writing it started in my head about 15 years ago. It is a journey over 33 years of the struggles and the joys involved.
