In my mid-twenties, I backpacked through Europe with a friend. Shortly after beginning our trip, we split up to visit friends. I went to Northern Ireland, and she stayed longer in London. We planned to meet at a hotel in Amsterdam a few days later. I always wondered what would have happened if we hadn't re-connected. Since this was in the mid-eighties, cell phones weren't a thing, so we had no way to communicate. Even now, that would make for an interesting mystery.

I go for a long ride on the back of my husband’s motorcycle. The landscape rolls by, and the wheels in my head begin turning with plots lines and scenes.
