Danice Hope Writing is good therapy. I also learned a lot from writing about my past.
Danice Hope What helped the most was joining a writing group. The American Night Writers' Association has helped with editing and suggestions. They're great for keeping me inspired with lessons about writing, editing, and selling. I'm not sure I could have finished my book and published it without them.
Danice Hope I like listening to inspiring music. I've been a fan of Michael McLean since my missionary days in the 1980's. I also like the Piano Guys, Nathan Pacheco, and Paul Cardall.
Danice Hope I've read the "Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" a few times. I think it would be fun to go to the Shire to see how the hobbits live. Going to Bag End to a dinner would be fun. Of course, going to Rivendell to see the elves would be intriguing too.
Danice Hope I'm currently working on my website at www.danicehope.com/the-flower-garden.
My new feature is the Flower Garden. I'm gathering other people's stories, poems and essays about living with chronic illness. The goal is to support one another in our struggles, and to promote understanding.
Danice Hope I've found that many people have the same experience of not being able to get a proper diagnosis for their misunderstood illnesses, or their doctors don't take them seriously. I wanted to share my own struggles and some of the things that I've learned along the way, in the hopes that others will feel a bit less alone.
