I'm currently working on a book that is a romance based on immigration in the early 1900's. My grandmother came to the United States from Italy as a young girl, and over the years I became fascinated with the stories of her childhood and how she adapted to life a new foreign world.

Just do it! Start writing and don't worry that it is perfect. Also take advantagae of all the classes that are online. There are so many out there that are free or inexpensive. I have taken several, and have learned, and continue to learn about the art of writing.

I have been an avid reader since childhood. I always loved to write, however, I never had the opportunity to do so. I went back to college at age 60 and my English professor put a note on one of my papers. it said, "you have a novel here, you need to start writing." Ever since then I have been studying writing and enjoying this new adventure.
