I have read a lot of books on archeological fiction and thrillers. The most that effected me are the Jack West jr. series by matthew Reilly and Nina and Eddie series by Andy McDermott. These are the series that inspired me to write my new book - The Bygone Library.
However, the idea of the book itself came from seeing 2 movies - Indiana Jones and Mackenna's gold
