Keith Silvas I just push past it. I force myself to just slop something down on the page, even if I think its bad at the time. There is always time to come back and edit later, and its easier to critique something than to create. If that method doesn't work, then its time to do some research. That might mean, studying something I don't know enough about to comfortably write into my story, or just imagining and outlining better so I know where the story needs to go.
Keith Silvas I can't imagine not writing. It's in my DNA to want to create stories and imagine different worlds and characters. It's just part of life to me and I love it. I think my favorite parts are 1. when my characters surprise me and the story takes a turn I was not expecting. At that point, I feel as though I'm along for the ride. 2. Other people reading and appreciating the story that I wrote. That is a very rewarding part of what I do. So, a bit thank you to everyone who has ever read one of my stories and enjoyed it.
Keith Silvas Just start. Don't wait for the right moment, because we only have right now. Also, don't write what you think others want you to write, or what you think will sell, just write what interests you. You can't expect everyone to love it, but those who are on the same page with you will. That is where I believe the best stories come from.
Keith Silvas A fantasy story for a serial podcast that I hope I can release in early 2019. It will be like an audiobook that listeners can hear in segments. I would like to eventually put it all into a novel as well.
Keith Silvas If an idea intrigues me, I want to write about it in some form. Sometimes they are profound ideas, sometimes they are pretty dumb, but they are what drive me to put it down.
Keith Silvas From the music of Zero System. My friend wrote an awesome electronic album that tells a story, and I wanted to be a part of that, so I wrote the story that came to me from listening.
