Thank you for your question, Andressa, and sorry for answering late! Really happy you loved HEX. Formative novels for me in my childhood were Roald Dahl's The Witches, which I read when I was 7, and Stephen King's Pet Sematary, which I read at 11. The latter was my first really grim adult horror novel (okay, I DID read Dracula and Frankenstein and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde earlier...) and it changed my life... mostly because I understood the father's pain and would have made the exact same choices. Then later on, my favorite novel became Life of Pi by Yann Martel, because it's such a beautiful story about the power of stories. I still love King, and Chuck Palahniuk is one of my favorite authors too.
