Ora Smith I am about to publish a historical novel/biographical novel about a 17th century Englishman named John Lothropp who came to America soon after the Pilgrims. The book is called The Pulse of His Soul: The Story of John Lothropp, a Forgotten Forefather. Aside from that, and back to Tahoe, I am missing Tahoe so much right now because I would love to be at the beach! I'll look for your book, Liar.
Ora Smith I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. What was the book you partially wrote in Tahoe? I'll read it and enjoy just knowing you wrote the last half there. Were you in a cabin or on the beach?
(And why didn't your post show up in my messages/inbox? I check it often. Now I'm worried I've missed others. How strange!)
Ora Smith Knock on wood, I've never had writer's block, and I've been doing this for years. I wake up each morning with an idea to write about. I usually can't wait to get into that next chapter of the book.
Ora Smith Making up stories, of course. The imagination has no limits. Letting those creative juices flow is like a drug to me.
Ora Smith Don't give up! There's so many positive things that come out of creating. If you have a story in your heart, tell it to us. I want to know all about it.
Ora Smith I have written two historical novels based on secrets my ancestors kept (I'm telling the secrets!). I am shopping them to agents at present. I am writing a third novel, which is also about my ancestor, but this one is about John Lothrop (1600s England), who isn't famous, but should be. He's like one of the founding father's that no one knows about. I'm also writing a Christian Inspirational called "Finding Peace When Your Child Suffers."
Ora Smith I'm one of those people who goes with what's in my heart, and then I try to not be afraid to share it. I tend toward writing for or about my family since they mean the most to me.
Ora Smith I wrote A Christmas Story of Light for my grandchildren. I felt it was what I wanted to leave them as my "legacy." Others suggested I have it published for all to read. I do hope you enjoy it!
