A.J. Marchant Space.
And a little time.
Whether it's going for a walk around the block, going on a hike, to the gym, or even just simply leaving the house; I find if I give my mind space to wander, getting out of my head and into what is around me, my subconscious brain will get to the root of the problem quicker than I ever could if it tried to force it. Don't stress yourself out that you're stuck, that's never going to help. Work on something else, take a break, listen to music or a podcast. Don't focus on it, but keep it in the back of your mind.
A.J. Marchant Put words on paper. As hard as it is, and it is hard, it's also worth it. If you can write on the difficult days, if you can get yourself to sit down and ever so slowly stumble out your words no matter how horrible it feels or how terrible you think the writing is, then you've got something most aspiring writers will never find- perseverance. Passion is easy when the work is easy, perseverance will keep you going when it's hard.
