I have only ever had it once and it lasted for three months. I was not lacking in ideas but I was short on self confidence and full of doubts. Would anyone want to read it? What if nobody liked it? Why am I doing this?

Ever since then I have learnt that writing is fun and it is now a big part of my life so I tend to find the biggest problem is finding time to write down everything that is in my head rather than finding things to write.

My imagination is allow to run wild. I can create characters and situations that make me laugh or wish that I could be in and that is wonderful catharsis. Plus there is an amazing feeling of satisfaction every time I complete a novel.

Believe in yourself and enjoy what you do. Write and keep writing, it is easy to say "I'd love to write a book but..." just do it.

The sequel, The Sword of Uncreation, is due to be published in May 2019 and I am just finished the 7th novel in the series although I have no idea when that will be published. I told my publisher about an idea for a children's novel and she has asked me to write that next and that will, hopefully, be my 3rd novel to be published.

To me writing is something that comes naturally and I feel frustrated if I spend more than a few days without writing something. When I started writing Closing Shop I was still learning the ropes and full of uncertainty so I got writers block for about 3 months but since then I have been enjoying it.

I love comedy novels and was looking for an idea that gave me plenty of scope for weird and wonderful characters that were different so I came up with the concept of a series of books based around Hell and Heaven. And as a starter I asked myself what would happen is Satan wanted to be allowed back into Heaven.
