Arianna Fox Weaving worlds within words. That's kind of my trademarked favorite thing (due to the alliteration ;)), because if you think about it, we have little power upon this Earth, but when we write, we use our imaginations to create characters, worlds, and stories that resonate with our readers. We have the ability to create scenarios that impact others, motivate them, and inspire them in their own lives. That is all I could ask for as a writer.
Arianna Fox Just like that one quote says, "If you have writer's block...move the block!" I firmly believe that writer's block is real, but my belief that it's all in our minds and that we can push ourselves past it is even firmer. We all get the dreaded block—especially around the middle of our WIPs; I call this "Midpoint Syndrome" or "Midpoint Block"—but the important thing is to push ourselves past it, else we'll find ourselves stuck for eternity. I have two principal tips for you if you're suffering from writer's block:

1. If you're refraining from writing because you haven't got the creativity, JUST WRITE. Write in a journal about your experiences, write a poem, or even write a short story that's completely unrelated to your WIP. Write something that brings passion back to you and ignites the fires of your heart again. Never let writer's block win. EVER.

2. If, however, the opposite is true and you're writing *too much*/experiencing burnout, try to take a break. Go take a walk and bask in nature, let a different hobby or passion take over for a short while—just try to refrain from writing. You never know if that break will help you to come back even stronger and improve the quality of your writing.
Arianna Fox The writer beamed as she opened up her treasured work in progress, ready after many a week of perpetual writer's block to begin anew. Her eyes widened and her smile dropped; the screen read in bold, black letters: "UNABLE TO LOCATE FILE."

(I'M SORRY—)
Arianna Fox BLAST IT, why did I know they'd ask this question? It's too hard! 😭 If it includes books of my own (*wink, wink*), I would probably say the Cerelli System, since there is SO much to it; it's like a less advanced but still in-depth version of the "Star Wars" Galaxy, but in book form. More specifically, the planet of Kyrideus is my absolute dream of a place to live. Combine Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, and yeah, you have the most beautiful planet and culture this side of the Cerelli System. ^-^

However, if it had to be from a book that was not mine, you know my answers: C.S. Lewis's Narnia or J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth.
Arianna Fox Ooh, good question! It is a goal of mine to try to finish "The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexandre Dumas in summer. If I can do that quickly enough, I will be able to bring my full focus to "Dìlseachd: A Stolen Crown" by Cheyenne van Langevelde. I'm not quite sure what else I'd like to read—perhaps return to some of the Sherlockian pastiches I've been given, and I'd love to try to continue reading "The Big Book of Victorian Mysteries" by Otto Penzler. That was a great deal of fun. :D I aaalso just got a new book called "Playing with Fire: The Weird Tales of Arthur Conan Doyle." These are supernatural/paranormal, NON-SHERLOCK HOLMES stories...but by the same author. I loved "The Captain of the Pole-star," sooo...you can imagine my excitement. ^-*
Arianna Fox I rarely have mysteries in my own life; perhaps that's why I felt the pull to write mystery stories, LOL. There is little that remains unanswered...but perhaps a secret entrance or a strange happenstance here and there have served as inspiration for a greater and more exaggerated mystery. ;)

(Hey, would you look at that? A short answer! I'm improving!)
