If you have an idea write until it's finished; don't stop to pursue another idea until the first one is finished, because by the time you get back to it you'll most likely have forgotten where you were going with it. Push through the boring parts -- set goals for yourself so you have to get a certain amount done every day or week until you get back to the fun stuff.
