David Michael May The six year old noticed what appeared to be a lizard's tail disappearing into a small hole under a root of the giant old oak tree in the back yard and grabbed the tail just as it was about gone. Her mother wondered why she was so late for dinner.
David Michael May The church is getting a bad rep. Some of it may be earned, but some is not. Most of what the media has to say about the church does not put it in a good light. The church is supposed to be about good news, so I decided to elaborate on that for a bit, pointing out some really good news that just doesn't get talked about much, even by church members.

David Michael May I have been asked to collaborate with someone on a book on adoption. When I get some time I am going to try to outline that one. I am also trying to figure out how to tell the right people what I have written already. You can write the best book ever written and if no one knows about it, it won't sell.
David Michael May Think of something you have to say that hasn't been over-said and say it. Writers who keep writing after they have said it all produce boring books.
David Michael May The satisfaction of completing a project that you believe is worthwhile, holding it in your hand and sharing it with others.
David Michael May If I am working on a project and just can't figure out how to go on, I go back to my original outline and look for a spot that I have something to say about at the time. If I am between projects, I'll take a current issue and try to go to the 10,000 foot level to see it from a different perspective from the current discussions.
