I am always "what-iffing" about Pride and Prejudice, and Austen's other works. The idea for Strong Objections stemmed from the idea of Lady Catherine's confrontation with Lizzy escalation to the point of fatality, to Anne's private joy. From there, the ideas snowballed quite delightfully.
