The people I meet are so fascinating. They can be people I talk to or people I hate or people I have no relation to whatsoever. But they bring something to you. And I breathe life into my characters, through the stories I weave about all the people I meet.

The best thing about being a writer is that you get closure. Things that don't happen to you in life, you make it possible between your pages.

It doesn't matter if you have written the best book on the planet unless YOU do your part to market it. You might have a team or it's just you but take responsibility to make the sales because you are the best person as the author of the book to make a pitch. Remember, if you can't sell your own book, no one can!

I'm writing my third book and I'm having so much of fun because this is a genre I have not explored yet. The two books I have written about are about relationships and this is completely different. Its about one particular character in the Ramayana who has been rendered obscure by history but I'm giving her a voice in my book. This book is going to get me killed because of the controversial topics I touch upon. But if a story needs to be told, then it needs to be told.
