Under The Scars is inspired by a lot of things. While a majority of the novel comes from pain and loss over things that didn't actually happen to me, there's a part of this novel that deals with death and how to try to move on from losing someone you really love, and I think in some way we can all relate to the pain that comes from it.

It sounds so weird, but honestly it's my surroundings sometimes. Whether I'm watching TV/movies, out around town or see something online, I'm always finding something that's inspired me to create a story! Even the odd eavesdropping in the bookstore...

I'm currently Editing my first book, but I've got a few ideas in the beginning stages of outlines lined up after this!

Honestly it all depends! Sometimes it's really hard to focus on what I'm trying to write, so I'll take a walk with the pups and then come back. Other days, I'll leave it alone for a day or two and re-read my previous work and try to dig in until I don't have writer's block anymore!
