Richard Hellewell The "Light Blink - Book One" is done and published. But the story is not finished in that book ... so I am working on Book Two. It will continue the story, and provide an exciting ending to the story.

Look for it by April 2019 (hopefully). The latest info about both books is on the Light Blink web site: https://www.LightBlink.com .
Richard Hellewell I'm just a computer geek, mostly. I create and maintain web sites, mostly for fun. And I decided to be a writer.

The "Light Blink" book is based on a real event that happened to me. I was, just like in the beginning of the book, in my work office late one evening, trying to finish a project before a long weekend. And then the lights blinked in the office. And when I went out into the main office area, there wasn't anyone there. Not that there should have been; it was late in the evening.

For some reason, that was a bit unsettling. So, I packed up and went home. But I thought about that experience and my limited imagination started on the story. What would happen if the lights blinked? And then every living thing disappeared. Where would I go? What would I find?

That was many years ago. The concept stayed in the back of my mind. And then the story slowly revealed itself - over a period of a couple of years. I'd get stuck on 'what happened next' point, and it would take a while for something to trigger an answer to that question.

For instance, the crows and ravens. My main writing (and computing) area is in a room with large windows overlooking the Puget Sound in WA state. Big pine trees outside. And, during the warmer months, flocks of crows flying around each evening. They looked like trouble, especially since a bunch of crows is called a 'murder'.

From there, the story progressed. It got long, even with editing. To the point that the story didn't seem like it would fit in one book. I finished and released the first book, and the second book in the series is in progress.

In the meantime, I still am a geek. Web sites, and programming. And writing.

I think you will enjoy the first book, and the second. If you have finished the first book, reviews are always good. You can contact me via the book's web site: https://www.LightBlink.com , or the @LightBlink.com Facebook page.
