Camille Peters I am so happy that the life lessons I try to include are able to help my readers and that my characters can be strong role models, as that is very important to me.

I feel all of my characters do contain elements of myself in them—sometimes in small ways (for instance, Evelyn's preference for always being barefoot in "Façade" is one inspired by my own preferences), and in others much bigger ways. While every big difficulty faced by my characters isn't one I've personally experienced, Rhea's journey in loving herself is actually very similar to one I dealt with during my own insecurities as a teenager.

When I haven't experienced a character's particular trial myself, I often know someone who has, so I do my best to make it as real as I can in hopes of helping anyone who may be going through a similar difficulty. I want my stories to not only bring magic to my readers' lives, but also be a source of strength.
Camille Peters Ramsey and Nolan won't get a sequel, but their story will continue in another book in the series as their full story resolution is tied to another character's book I'm planning. I promise they will get their complete happily ever after, and until then they are very happy being together. :)

Camille Peters I do plan on writing more books in the Kingdom Chronicles. All the princes and princesses in that series' fairytale world will get a story, which includes Ronan's brothers Jaron and Damon, Liam's sisters Elodie and Aveline, and Princess Lavena. I will also continue to write retellings in my second fairytale world in the Enchanted Kingdom Chronicles, and will eventually also release another fairytale series called the Forest Kingdom Chronicles featuring the enchanted forest from "Pathways".
Camille Peters I have considered this idea many times! I am held back by knowing I likely won't be able to create stories for every child of my original couples, but I think I could at least feature one child per couple. I currently have plans for a fairytale series called "The Forest Kingdom Chronicles" that features the enchanted forest in "Pathways" in many of the stories, and I am leaning towards this series featuring at least some of the second generation in the Kingdom Chronicles. Though I already have several covers, I am not yet sure when I can make room in my schedule to release them. Hopefully soon!
Camille Peters I am so happy you are enjoying the Dream World Chronicles! I am deeply sorry it has taken me so long to finish it. I experienced some writer's block with that series as it requires a lot more creative energy than my regular books, so that accounts for the delay in releasing the final book. My goal is to release it late Autumn 2025 if I can. Thank you for reading.
Camille Peters I do my best to ensure my books are as clean as possible. None of my stories go beyond simple kisses on the page, and I also avoid swearing and innuendos. Currently two of my stories ("Forgotten" and "Insomnia") have a "fade to black" scene, but in both instances it is between a married couple and nothing inappropriate is portrayed on the page.
Camille Peters I'm actually planning to hopefully one day release a book featuring novelettes of lesser-known fairytales featuring minor characters who didn't get stories, a couple of "Epilogue" scenes featuring the married life of some of my past characters that I've written for my own amusement that I think would be fun to share with my readers, and to officially release the scenes from my heroes' perspective that I have on my website (as well as maybe write some new ones for my more popular heroes). It would likely all be combined into one book and be something I release after the last book in the series (as of now there are fourteen books definitely planned, with a potential fifteenth). It makes me happy that there is already interest for this project! :)
Camille Peters Both series feature standalone stories inspired by fairytales, but each focuses on different groups of kingdoms and interconnected characters. I'm hoping to do a series in the future where they connect, but for now, they're separate worlds, though they share similarities in both being medieval-inspired lands that feature royalty and magic. :)
Camille Peters Thank you so much for your question! It makes me happy that you're interested in seeing more of Taryn and Xander. I am too; they were such fun characters to write. I'm happy to say that they will definitely be making cameo appearances in other books, even as early as the second book! Their siblings will also receive stories, along with the other royal children mentioned in the first book...as well as a few others that we'll meet in future stories. That includes Xander's brother, who I do have a story in mind for, and it will be a redemptive tale. I'm really excited for the stories to come and I hope you enjoy them as well. :)
Camille Peters Thank you for your sweet words! ❤️ I actually had a rather difficult time coming up with names for my kingdoms, and in the end, I based most of them on foreign words, which I tweaked to make them sound like a real place. (For example, The Kingdom of Sortileya is based on the French word for spell/enchantment, sortilège.) The ones not based on a foreign word I brainstormed with some of my friends. 😊

As for the names of my characters, I wanted to use less common names because I feel like it gives my stories a more fantasy feel, so I frequently peruse baby name lists for names that are unique but not too unusual (though I later found out some were more popular than I realized, like the names Aiden and Liam); some I get from books I've read. A few (like Anwen and Nolan) I originally used for minor characters (ones who later became Reece and Farrell in Voyage), before renaming those characters because I'd fallen in love with the name and wanted to use it for a main character. ☺️

I have a list of character names far longer than I'll ever use, and I frequently agonize over which to use for a main character and which to use for a minor character. In contrast, I don't have near enough names for future places I'm creating, and I'm often struggling to come up with more. But the entire process, though challenging at times, is very fun. 🥰

Camille Peters Thank you for your question! I love answering questions about my stories. 😊 In that scene with Briar when he first meets Maren, I always imagined that he does initially think what Maren fears he does—he, like everyone else, doesn't initially find her attractive. But Briar has the ability to see beauty. As he comes to know her over the course of the story, he discovers her true beauty, and by the end of the book that's all he sees, especially because he now loves her. This was my nod to the original fairy tale (except rather than the heroine having to see the inner beauty of the beast, it was my hero having to see the inner beauty of a plain girl, even as my heroine has to learn to see the true Briar hidden within his beastly attitude), because I love the message of seeing past one's appearance to their heart, for beauty truly comes from within. 💖
Camille Peters Thank you for your interest! ❤️ As of now, I'm planning on writing somewhere between 15-21 books in "The Kingdom Chronicles" series! 😊 There are just so many fun fairy tales to reimagine as well as new characters I meet in my stories that I must create a happily ever after for! 🥰 I'm aiming to release 3-4 books a year, so it'll take me quite a few years to finish the series, especially as I also have several other series in the works, although I'm not sure when I'll start releasing books in them. I'm so excited to share these upcoming stories! I hope you'll enjoy them! 💗
Camille Peters That is an amazing idea and something I would love to do! Unfortunately, I don't have the artistic talent to do it myself (the scribbled map I made for my own notes is rather pathetic) and I haven't yet found someone I can hire to do it for me, but it's definitely something I'm hoping to achieve one day! Thank you for your interest!
