Cat Williams I would go to Middle Earth and follow the journey of Bilbo to Lonely Mountain and the Fellowship across the realms- see all the places that Tolkien described so beautifully.
Cat Williams My Summer reading list includes Mary Beard's "Women and Power: A Manifesto," Jorg Rupke's "Religion in Republican Rome," and a few other Research Books. I'm hoping to get some Non-History reading in, as well. I miss falling into my favorite authors' worlds and forgetting that reality exists for a few hours at a time. But...Research has to happen...Doctorates don't earn themselves...
Cat Williams She kissed me after sitting on my bed. She'd been dead for six months.
Cat Williams Honestly, I play Civ 6. I watch old movies. I take a shower and listen to music. I simply walk away from whatever it is I'm writing at the time so that I can give myself a break and not focus on the fact that I'm having trouble moving on from where I'm at.

After a day or two, I'll go back and re-read what I'm writing and I may change things because what I'm trying to write isn't working and it needs to go in a different direction. Or, I may get inspiration of where to go from where I left off.

Either way, I don't force it because I have found, for me, trying to force myself to write something that doesn't want to be written at that time is not going to work and it will be awful.
Cat Williams Priority: My Thesis in Ancient History.

Other than that, I've got three stories that I am writing on simultaneously:

TIAF: Unit Zodiac - Book 2: Only Duty to the Empire (working title)
Death Wolf: A TIAF Universe Novel
Supernatural Psychology - this is an Urban Supernatural novel.
Cat Williams TIAF was the brainchild of a wonderful group of teenagers in the 1980's. I am still chosen family with them all. We all had characters, uniforms, and stories that we made up. It was originally supposed to be a comic book. Remember, this was the 1980's.

Fast forward 30+ years and I was talking with my hubby and our friend, Brian (one of the original TIAF crew) and I asked them "Would you be upset if I wrote Unit Zodiac as a novel?" They loved the idea - but, rightfully told me to ask the others if they would mind. I got a resounding "WRITE THE BOOK!" - and told that I could use character names and concepts as I chose.

Some of the Character names have changed (not all of them) and a lot of the original concept definitely changed (the characters are more realistic now, more human, more relatable, and more adult) - but the heart is still there and the sense of fun and adventure.
