Well, summer is about over and my TBR pile is still pretty big. One of the most anticipated on my list, and the next book I'll be reading, is There Will Come a Darkness by Katy Rose Pool. I love fantasy and this one looks really good!

Walk away. Take a break. Exercise. Anything to get my thoughts flowing again, even if it's about something else. Sometimes I shift gears and work on another WIP for a while, until I'm ready to go back to the first story.

Usually characters come to me first and then a story starts building around them. Who they are, where they live, what's going on in the world around them, tend to be the thoughts circling in my mind before I'm compelled to start writing down notes.
