Chelsea Marie Ballard Living all the lives we've always wanted to. I get to live in a world with magic, run away with the love of my life, and learn to sword fight. And that's just a normal Tuesday. Writing lets us play with our imagination in a way that isn't possible in the real world. At least, not yet.
Chelsea Marie Ballard Keep going. Seriously. You can't edit a blank page and all the inspirational stuff. Writing a novel is tough, tougher than most people realize. When the word count never seems to go anywhere and you're stuck what you need is the drive to just keep going.
Chelsea Marie Ballard Dreams, mostly. I tend to daydream almost all of my key scenes before I actually sit down to write the story. My characters run the show, I'm just along for the ride. Good music helps a lot too. Certain characters have certain feels and music helps me slid into their psyche.
Chelsea Marie Ballard For The Masks We Wore, the idea came to fruition around my main character. I knew Irene Barnes inside and out. The world of Elysia and even Hartcroft City bloomed into reality around her. Plus, I've always wanted to go to magic school, so I just had to write it into existence.
