Matthew Osgood I make it my job. If I'm working as a chef/accountant/pro basketball player, I have to come into work at a set time and begin work for the day. Same for writing.

I hate the excuse of "I just didn't have time today." Oh you didn't? Seems like you had time for two hours of Netflix. Looks like you had time for thumbing through Twitter. Go write.
Matthew Osgood I currently have a trio of projects that I'd like to begin, but I'm currently in the exploration phase about which one would be a more practical and plausible route to take (that is, what project do I have the money/time to better allocate). Matthew Osgood I get to explore the things that fascinate me. I believe that we shouldn't follow our passions as much as we follow our curiosities.
Matthew Osgood Writer's Block -- and I cover this in the book -- is about research and reporting. If you've done enough, there's no such thing as writer's block.
