While I was on a vacation in Bulgaria, the owner of the hotel who was a reputed mafia boss, was killed by a sniper with a single bullet through the heart. I became intrigued by who might have pulled the trigger on the man who is now known in Bulgaria as "The Last Bulgarian Don".
The more I dug into the story, the more intrigued I became. It was no coincidence that Bulgaria had over 13 professional hits in that year and nobody knew who was behind them. There were numerous rumors that the CIA and the Bulgarian government were directly involved, so I decided to write a story about it.

There are plenty of superstar writers who got rejected by all the big publishers, threw their ebooks into Kindle with no marketing whatsoever, sold millions and ended up with a multi-million contract with a giant publisher.
