It always varies, but I like to be working on multiple projects at once. That way, if I'm stuck on one thing, I can USUALLY work on the other. Delving into my favorite music, movies, and books also really helps, especially the ones that are similar (in theme) to what I'm writing.
Sometimes, talking it out with a close friend or family member really works, too. I love bouncing my ideas off other people.
