Ashleigh Macfie Middle Earth without a doubt. I think I would spend my time with the Elves, learning what I can from them.
Ashleigh Macfie Now this is a good question. I often have writer's block. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and a Discovery Writer, so even if I plan out a story, it rarely follows that plan. I often get stuck at points, knowing where I want the story to go, but not being sure how to get there. I usually put the project down, start another and return to the one I am stuck with a few days later once my words catch up with the pictures in my mind.
Ashleigh Macfie Creating something that takes people to somewhere new and exciting. An escape from this crazy, fast- paced world we live in. To be able to create something that people can laugh with, cry with, fall in love with.
Ashleigh Macfie Keep writing! There will be times where you look at what you have written and think that it is wonderful, only to return to it some time later and become overly critical, thinking it is awful. This is normal. It happens. Push through it, there is a reason that there are multiple drafts of something, and why there are Beta readers, nothing is perfect the first time around.
Ashleigh Macfie Currently, I am writing a short story as well as part 2 of 'Clockwork Renegades'.
Ashleigh Macfie I wrote a scene on a scrap piece of paper years ago and recently was asked by my publisher for more work after 'Ethereal' I expanded on the scene and drew inspiration from historical events and Steampunk influences and 'Clockwork Renegades' was born.
