Sometimes I take a quick break, but usually the thing I do is listen to inspiring music and write what comes to mind. Often, I end up writing something related to what I wanted to in the first place. And if not, then maybe I've created the beginning of another story, poem or reflection I can use later.

My best advice is write every day - even if it's only for 20 minutes..write something, anything to get you motivated. You'll probably end up writing for longer than that and if not, oh well, you got in 20 minutes!. Another thing that has helped me is to get connected with other writers. Form your "tribe" and support & help promote each other.

I'm currently working on multiple projects. Most recently, I'm putting together a short story anthology which will become a published ebook in a couple weeks. It is a compilation of short stories from a variety of authors I've come to know and have worked with lately. I'm also working on another short story based on the main character in my WIP "Buried Secrets", but that won't come out until late spring/early summer. Finally, I've just begun writing articles for Medium.com and have one published there now!

I usually get inspiration from things that have happened in my life or to friends/family. Sometimes stories in the news inspire me. I also get my inspiration from reading other mystery/thriller books.

A combination of things. Part of it was inspired by my relationship with my grandfather. Also, I love mysteries and secrets and plot twists and so I knew my story would involve a young woman and her quest to uncover the truth/reveal secrets about her family. I decided to have her do this on behalf of her grandfather who had passed away. He leaves her a lot of clues but also a lot of uncertainty as she embarks on this journey.
