Lulu Waters I love "Outlander" SO much, that I'd have to say I'd love to travel back to 18th century Scotland and be the one to meet and fall in love with Jamie Fraser. I'm a romantic at heart and that show gets me time and time again.
Lulu Waters I've been writing stories in notebooks since I was a kid. One day, I was going through a ton of notebooks and came across one I loved spending hours writing in and so I turned it into my latest novel, "Saving Scarlett." Obviously the story line is different and it's going to be a trilogy now, but the main idea came from when I was around 16/17 years old.
Lulu Waters If you love it, never stop. I've had problems with writing things that might not be someone's cup of tea, but I've learned to write like no one's reading and just get everything out of my head. You're always going to come across someone who doesn't like your work and that is totally normal. Just keep being you and write what you love.
Lulu Waters I have very vivid dreams almost every single night and tend to pull from those quite often. Otherwise, idea's just pop into my head out of nowhere. It's as if my characters are real and are subconciously telling me to write about them, giving me their entire back story in my head. It's actually pretty cool.
Lulu Waters I usually step away from the particular piece for a few days- maybe focus on something else- before I re-read everything and generally that spikes new motivation. However, I'm pretty fortunate enough not to deal with writer's block too often. Once I get going, it's difficult to get me to stop.
Lulu Waters I love that I can dive right into my character's worlds and feel like I'm right there with them. I have a very overactive imagination and tend to get lost in my writing once I start. And if I really love my characters, I'll "disappear" from the world for several days and just write. Writing is definitely a stress reliever for me and I can't ever seem to get enough of it.
Lulu Waters I work on several pieces at once, but my main focus at the moment is my trilogy about Detective Duke Harvey. Book Two: Delivering Duke will be released very soon and I'm so excited for you all to dive into Duke and Scarlett's world.
