Garrett McCorkle Many times I have to walk away from a project and engage my mind in something other than writing. Driving seems to help a lot, that is where I generate a lot of ideas, but I also find working on one of my classic car projects helps too.
Garrett McCorkle I'm working on several novels, but the one that is most developed and will be released in Mid 2019 is Spot. Spot, tells the story of Ian Holt, a man that thought he had everything he wanted in life; the career, the perfect wife, and the big home, but that all changes in the blink of an eye. As his life is turned on end, he realizes he can’t turn back time. When he finally steps out from under the cloud of pain and depression, he embarks on a journey that will forever change his life.
Garrett McCorkle I always wanted to write from a young age, but I didn't start putting pen to paper to develop a full novel until I met a writer named Mark McClure. Mark had found good success with his writing, and I told him about some of my ideas and he challenged me to start writing. So I did.
Garrett McCorkle I had an old friend that recently passed away that would tell me stories about his time during World War II. Sometimes the stories were so rich with detail they would leave you wanting for times gone by. I took inspiration from his memories and blended them with my time in the military and my wife and my story and came up with Lost Sunrise.
