Jasmine Young Hi Michael! I am sorry that I am just getting back to you. Goodreads doesn't do the best job with notifying me when questions come in.

The reason why you aren't able to purchase the rest is because only the second edition is available. The second editions of Books 3-5 are yet to come out. I have them planned out and my goal is hopefully to get book 3 out this year or early next. :)
Jasmine Young Fiction. Draw inspiration from lots and lots of fiction. This could be through novels, video games, movies, anything with great (or even not so great) storylines. Sometimes even great instrumental music can create entire scenes in your head. Stephen King said to read a lot - make sure you listen to him!
Jasmine Young I am a self-prescribed workaholic and always working on some writing project... Sign up to my newsletter to find out which one. :)
Jasmine Young Two months after I became published, I received my first fan mail. It was lifechanging and a huge ego boost!

Not long after, a stranger messaged me via my website saying that my book impacted their life and asking for a signed postcard.

It's things like this that make an author keep going, especially during the down seasons when you feel imposter syndrome. The readers and the people you touch make it all worth it.
Jasmine Young I have a massive (and ever growing) TBR of epic fantasies. Who knows which one to start with next?
Jasmine Young If anyone ever tells you that you must "feel" like writing in order to write well, or write at all, that's a big lie. Most accomplished authors will probably tell you that they don't "feel" like writing most days. I don't feel like writing at least 75% of the time, and usually that number is higher. But if you're serious about publication and your career, you have to schedule time to write even when you don't feel like it. The great news is, when you get into a rhythm and spend intimate time with your characters/world every day, you build up this supernatural connection with your writing. The best way I can describe it is total magic :) And I promise you, when that happens, you'll be thrilled to get back to your writing!
Jasmine Young Keep writing no matter what. Keep writing even when you don't feel like it, and you're getting rejections, and you're the only one in the world who seems to care about your manuscript. Publication is all about being able to persist in the long run, and not how much talent you were born with. You're going to make a ton of mistakes. That's okay. Know when to listen to the negative reviews, and when to take them with a grain of salt. They are forging you into a stronger writer.

Also, don't forget to read popular books in your niche. I made the mistake of not doing this early enough. This will show you what's currently working in the market - for your particular niche. Understand what readership you are trying to capture. "Fantasy" is such a wide genre. Do you write romantic fantasy? YA fantasy? Epic fantasy adventure? Dark fantasy? Be very clear with who you are writing for.
