Hi! I'm so glad you enjoyed Ellen's story. It meant a lot to get to write a queer, autistic character for this story, and I loved getting to explore the ebbs and flows of friendships through that lens (and write all those Barcelona descriptions!).

I missed this in June, my apologies! Pride Month was a wonderful whirlwind for me, though. I kicked it off by traveling to the East Coast to meet my Camp QUILTBAG co-author and friend, Nicole Melleby, for the first time ever and to be in conversation with her about her latest book, The Science of Being Angry, in New York City. I also had a chance to swing by Books of Wonder and do an event with them while I was in town. Then my partner joined me for a few days in NYC and we took the train up to DC, where we had a bit of a family get-together. We flew my mom up for her birthday and then visited my brother who lives nearby. I got home and turned in the first draft of a new project I can't wait to share with folks soon, then chilled out for the rest of the month.
