For me, letting my imagination go where it wants to go. I started a short story thinking I knew where it was going but I was wrong - my imagination kicked in and took it somewhere totally different. It is exciting when that kind of thing happens.

I am currently finishing the first draft of Book Two in the Gingerbread Hag series, titled In the Teeth of It. I'm excited to continue the story of the bakery and to introduce some additional unusual characters to Enumclaw.
