Nyna Queen Hi Teri!
I'm so very glad you liked By A Thread! Yes, of course, I'm going to continue the series!!! I'm currently busy working on book 2, which will be called "Web of Lies," and, if everything goes according to plan, should get published beginning of 2020. So, soon! Stay tuned to my instagram (nynaqueenbooks) or website (www.nynaqueen.com) for updates, cover reveal etc. Also, if you can find the time at all and haven't done so already, it would be more than awesome if you could post a short review here on Goodreads and on Amazon - they are so important for starting authors like me.
Thanks and all the best,
Nyna
Nyna Queen Knowing that you are able to put the same smile on a person's face that streches your own lips when you take up one of your favorite books and start to read.
Writing is creating life and that, my friends, is beautiful.
Nyna Queen First: Analyse if you are truly dealing with "real" writer's block or just common resistance (the latter is a normal feeling you experience a lot when you are about to do something meaningful; it likes to disguise itself as writer's block when, really, it is nothing but your lazy lizard brain trying to keep you from achieving your dreams! Don't listen to the bummer!).

If it is nothing but "normal" resistance: I force myself to sit down, put every distraction away, push through and after a while the words start to flow.

If it is a "real" block (you cannot seem to get one straight thought into your head and feel like you seriously lost your talent): I stop trying to write immeditately. I take a break of 1-3 days and make sure to put myself back into a good mood (walks in nature, sports, meeting cherished friends). I also read scenes that I wrote and liked to remind myself that there is some hidden talent there. And then I crack my knuckles, hit the keys, and tell myself that even if I write something stupid now, I won't be worse off than if I don't write at all...
Nyna Queen While on vacation, lying at a beach in Turkey, reading Ilona Andrews' "On the edge" and seeing a little white spider crawling through the sand...
Nyna Queen Mostly through reading, reading, reading (fantasy books). Also walking in nature helps me to get into the right mindset. Keep your eyes, ears and mind open - and make sure you have some paper or a device to capture those ideas.
Nyna Queen If possible, write every day, even if it is just for a little while. Keep going through your struggles - it is absolutely worth it in the end.
Write what you would like to read and stay true to your own voice (believe me, others will like it too).
And don't EVER let anybody tell you that writing is not a worthy profession to pursue, that it is a waste of time, or that you're not good enough. Those people know nothing. This is your life and if writing makes your heart sing, there is only one thing to do: Write your heart out and capture that song!
Nyna Queen I am currently working on the second book in the Trueborn Heirs Series: "Web of Lies".
