I don't want to give away any of the plot for this story arc, so some things I can't answer.
I can say that all of these books will be action-packed. Romance has a place in any story, but the action sequences are some of my favorite parts of writing.
I didn't realize the shifter genre was so romance heavy until I put out the first book and started looking around. I agree with you that there needs to be more action/adventure novels with these types of characters.
As for books spanning further than this story arc, that really depends on feedback from readers. In my mind, a functional world exists as the setting. As such, there could be many stories told about several different aspects of the world and the characters therein.

Hi Tali,
I appreciate the interest in my writing. It's really cool when people like what you've done.
As to your question, I'm extremely excited about book two. I wrote an initial draft shortly after the first came out, but, afterwards, I decided that I wanted it to go a different direction. That set me back some, but I'm now writing away on a new, better book 2.
Hopefully, after it goes through the editor, it will be out sometime this Spring!

I've always had an active imagination. For inspiration, I typically find a quiet space and retreat into my own head. Sometimes thoughts come up at random times, like at work or in the middle of the night. When that happens, I make a note in my phone and look at them again later.

I first try to power through writer's block by just typing. I'd give that a 50/50 chance of success. When that doesn't work, I take a step back and just imagine the story in my mind until I feel ready to write on it again. Sometimes that's an hour later, sometimes it's a couple of days.

The best thing about being a writer is seeing something in your mind take on a life of its own. In trying to write Dark Wolf's Awakening, there were portions of the story that I had to relinquish control and let the story take me where it wanted to go.
