Finish the book. Don't let fear or doubt ever deter you. Pour whatever is on your heart onto those pages. There are all kinds of books out there, but someone is waiting for yours.

I think a LOT, so writer's block is hardly ever an issue with me. My main issue is procrastination, but that's another story for another day. As far as coming up with ideas, I get the most traction in the shower or by going for a walk. I let my mind take me where it wants to go. I always keep my phone on me to make notes or to record my thoughts. When I'm on the laptop, I'll scene hop. For example, if I'm in a pretty mundane part of the story and I'm just not feeling it that day, I may skip forward and write an explosive scene that's twelve chapters ahead. As long as I'm writing something, I know I'm that much closer to writing "The End."

The best thing about being a writer is having the ability to pick up something you wrote a long time ago and still be able to move 'you.' I go back to old things I've written and think, "Damn, I wrote that!" I rediscovered my love for writing again because I just started writing for me. The bonus is that I met a couple of wonderful readers along the way who enjoy reading what I put out there.

This summer, I'm looking forward to "The Hunter" by L.J. Shen, and catching up on entire catalogs from Kennedy Ryan, B.B. Reid, Vi Keeland, and Colleen Hoover... just to name a few. I'm so bummed out that Book Bonanza 2020 is canceled, but I look forward to seeing some of these ladies in 2021.

A week ago, I released "Bernadette" and smoothed out my first romcom, which is now with my editor. Now, I venture back into the world of my first release, "A Nocturnal Rendezvous" (ANR), for the next two books. We will meet some interesting people that we were briefly introduced to in ANR. I am re-reading the first book a bit at a time and I'm looking forward to traveling back to Molina Motors.

The idea of "Bernadette" came to me a year ago. The book technically wasn't supposed to come out until late 2020. I planned on writing the next two books in the "A Nocturnal Rendezvous" (ANR) universe first. Bernadette just spoke louder to me because I got in this mode of suspense after devouring books like "Verity" and "The Wives." I'm thrilled that Bee is in the world and that readers are getting tongue-tied from the ending.
